Role Summary
Our client, an international technology company, is looking for a qualified candidate to fill a Technical Product Marketing Manager position.
As a Technical Product Marketing Manager you will be responsible for technical product marketing leadership for an entire product family. In this role you will engage heavily in technical requirements, engineering, market-driven research, hands-on testing as well as evaluation of new technologies.
You will play a key role in driving development and productization efforts, as well as be responsible for the creation and articulation of compelling messaging to internal customers and the market to support the proliferation of company products and “voice.”
As an integral technical member within our product management team you will serve as an SME on all offerings and be expected to work in a dynamic and flexible way handling multiple projects simultaneously. A successful Product Marketing Manager will enable our company to deliver the right products, features and messaging to the right audience at the right time.
Day-to-day Responsibilities
Define new technical product requirements and specifications
Provide technical training to Sales Engineering
Research the technical viability and ROI of third-party application and solution integration
Work closely with engineering and Product Management
Create compelling technical content for the web, partners and internal sales teams
Lead company's communication to the analyst and editor community
Support technical business development efforts with technology partners
Own the ‘productionization’ of new product releases
Track and trend industry competitors to fuel competitive analysis reports
Serve as SME on product features and capabilities and offerings, providing an interface for the sales and sales engineering teams to the product management organization
Support the marketing organization through technical thought leadership content contribution
Desired Skills and Experience
Deep technical depth and hands-on experience required, preferably in systems engineering, sales engineering, networking or application administration/engineering
Working knowledge of general networking, virtualization, cloud and application technologies
3+ years relevant TME/PMM/TPM experience in a technology company
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering of Sciences
Experience with public speaking engagements and delivering presentations
Ability to convey complex technical information in simple terms to audiences from technical, engineering, marketing and executive audiences
Ability to work in a cross-functional role and influence the successful outcome of assigned projects
Travel – US Domestic and International – Approximately 35%
